« … I’d love to hear more ground reports from people knowledgable in Pennsylvania politics to tell me if Romney really could end up doing what would have been impossible just four years ago: taking the Keystone State.
« Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida are now officially lost to Obama. Suffolk has pulled its pollsters from those states because they are no longer “battlegrounds”.
I think Ohio’s also going to be solidly in the Romney column in 25 days as well.
Don’t believe what the Ministry of Truth (Minitru, for short) is telling you on the tee-vee about Ohio still being “too close to call”….Ohio votes with who’s going to win the national election. Ohioans want desperately to be right and be the winners in things… take a look at the early voting numbers in Ohio. Democrats are depressed… because Barack Obama ended up not being the man Minitru convinced many he was four years ago. http://tinyurl.com/96hh4dj
« I think the damage Barack Obama did to Nevada early in his presidency when he ruined their tourism and convention industry will come back to haunt him in November…. there are ZERO big projects planned and many others long-in-development being canceled because of the damage Barack Obama did to the state. I see that tipping things to Romney, although it’s going to probably be close…
« I have to say that Mitt Romney has really surprised me… He is doing everything right and not making any mistakes. His responses are RAPID and hit HARD every day, no matter what Minitru attempts to help Obama… This guy is brutal and unrelenting and it’s fantastic. He is not playing around and Obama doesn’t know how to combat that. He’s used to white people just giving up and letting him have whatever he wants in life without being challenged… and Romney is challenging him every day.
« The Left is in complete, apoplectic, disarray. They are melting down daily. Even the Tokyo Roses in conservative ranks who normally try to demoralize and depress Republicans are being forced to admit that, yes, Romney is winning.
Have you looked at the polls? They’re still being rigged to oversample Democrats to ridiculous degrees…but even then Obama is losing.
The polls can no longer be rigged enough to show Obama leading.
It is THAT big of a disaster for Democrats.
« … We are going to win, but let’s try to make it a crushing epic defeat of Obama and the Left. Let’s try to make this election a polar opposite of 2008 and swing the pendulum so far to the right that formerly “safely Democrat” states now go to Romney the way Obama flipped Virginia, North Carolina, and Indiana last time. Wouldn’t it be epic if we could flip Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Oregon and take those from the Democrats?
« I really think Romney/Ryan is going to win Wisconsin, too, by the way. Justin and I have now gone there twice in the election and the energy on the ground is pure excitement to make history by voting a Wisconsinite into the Naval Observatory for the first time. It’s amusing to me that Wisconsin was the state in which Michelle Obama made her infamous “I’m proud of my country for the first time in my adult life” remarks four years ago… since many Americans will be saying how proud they are of Wisconsin for helping boot the Obamas out of the White House on November 6th… »
… I’m convinced that Biden’s goal last night was to provoke anger from Ryan, but Ryan smartly never gave in to whatever temptation he may have had to just punch Biden in the face after the disrespectful way he behaved himself.
…here are the Top Then Things You Need to Know About Last Night’s VP Debate.
10. Moderator Martha Raddatz behaved like the character Joan Callamezzo from the show “Parks & Recreation” http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=-nz2ZC_60g8
and served as a third debater on the stage, often ganging up on Paul Ryan with Joe Biden… Raddatz was absolutely shameless last night…
Why on Earth do Republicans continue to allow people like this to moderate the debates?
9. Joe Biden acted like a complete jackass last night until there were just 15 minutes or so left in the debate… at which point his batteries wore out.
… I still can’t decide what was stranger: the fact that Biden ranted and raved like a lunatic for the first 75 minutes… or that he suddenly… decided to change into another person… as if he, … like Obama…in Denver, was shot up with amphetamines… and they suddenly wore off…
8. When Paul Ryan spoke, Joe Biden… tried to be as distracting and strange as possible so no one would listen to Ryan.
The current count is that Biden interrupted Ryan 87 times and Biden ended up speaking four minutes more than Ryan in the debate.
Focus groups of undecided and independent voters noticed this and believe… that “Joe Biden is a jackass who interrupts people”. Ryan came off as polite, polished, and professional…
7. The Obama campaign has given up on reaching independents and undecideds and is just trying to keep their base turned out at this point…
The Left is probably happy tonight because people will stop talking about Obama’s submissive and somnambulant performance in Denver… Democrats… realize it’s too late to win the independents and undecideds… Obama/Biden decided they could afford to alienate them… so long as the… far Left enjoyed… this.
6. Paul Ryan had all the facts to refute all of the Democrats’ lies and Joe Biden’s strategy was to interrupt and make a scene so Ryan couldn’t get all the facts onto the table.
… Biden was told to interrupt Ryan every time he spoke so that Ryan’s advantage in talking about Medicare or the economy could be blunted… he could not win if he let Ryan talk… Martha Raddatz, … would allow this and sometimes would join in herself…
behavior like this from someone like Biden is celebrated in the Democrat Party…
5. It seemed like one of Joe Biden’s goals was to make Paul Ryan angry so there would be footage of that from the debate, of Ryan losing his cool… but they didn’t get that…
… Democrats needed that footage to run their MediScare attack ads against Ryan…. but it didn’t work and Ryan remained calm and collected… the takeaway would have been that “the young guy sure is mad and scary”… It was an epic fail on the part of Democrats…
4. Biden lied about Ambassador Chris Stevens asking for more security in Libya… he said “we weren’t told they wanted more security again”.
Watch for this to be — in Biden’s unique style of speaking — “a big f***ing deal” in the days ahead because… Joe Biden directly contradicted the testimony that’s coming out… from intelligence and State Department officials… that, yes, Ambassador Stevens had been asking for more security… FOR MONTHS and he was repeatedly ignored. Paul Ryan noted that the Ambassador to Paris has an elite marine guard for protection…
… it’s very hard to predict… but I think even the Ministry of Truth… will have a hard time ignoring.. that Joe Biden directly lied… Biden did a lot of damage to the Obama campaign… because even the incurious and dimwitted “undecided”… are able to glance at a newspaper or website once in a while… Then they will wonder what else Obama/Biden lies about.
3. The security at Benghazi was not the only thing Biden lied about. He lied repeatedly and energetically all night.
Joel Pollack over at Breitbart did a good breakdown of Biden’s ten biggest lies last night http://tinyurl.com/8o9aa2m
Paul Ryan called him on the carpet for lying so much, and reminded viewers that this administration has no record it can run on so all it will do is attack, lie, and try to create distractions from the truth. Biden was like a clown sent into the middle of a traffic accident to keep people from looking at the devastation.
… Joe Biden reminded me… of Jack Nicholson as the Joker in the first Batman movie… it was all part of a bigger plan to make sure Paul Ryan… could not bring to light all the failings of this administration.
2. At times, Biden talked directly into the camera like he was making an informercial.
They do this in bad sitcoms, too, where a character breaks “the fourth wall” and talks directly to the audience…
Biden would tell them not to trust Ryan and would engage in… MediScare… Scaring old people and hoping they were too addled to sort out the facts themselves is a classic Democrat political tactic… cameramen allowed this to happen and facilitated it, too. Almost like it was planned from the beginning to happen….
1. The lasting impression of this debate is that Joe Biden is a crass and rude interrupter while Paul Ryan is a nice, polite, young man who seemed serious and well-prepared.
… few people remember the things said at these debates.
I .. watched.. Romney vs. Obama… three times but… I still can’t, … give you any exact quotes… I do, however, remember that… Romney looked like a President and Obama looked like a junkie….
… few will remember what Biden and Ryan said… they will remember that Biden was bizarre, yelled, and interrupted Ryan very rudely. Meanwhile, Ryan was a handsome, polite, and measured man who never reacted in anger to any of Biden’s craziness. People will remember… Biden… as unbalanced and rude… Ryan… as well-prepared and polite.
