If both parties claim victory, it is hard to say that American democracy has increased its stature.

The nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh at the U.S. Supreme Court was the key point during an acrimonious campaign. Democrat senators not only destroyed the reputation of a conservative judge with alleged sexual crimes but also the American democracy. The pandemonium during public hearing by radical activists shocked people. Irate electors punished three incumbent Democrats who wanted to keep their seat: Claire McCaskill in Missouri, Joe Donnelly in Indiana, and Heidi Heitkamp in Montana. U.S. Senator from West Virginia Joe Manchin narrowly saved his seat because he was the sole Democrat to vote for the nomination of Judge Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court.

The reelection of corrupt Robert Menendez in New Jersey and the election of Keith Ellison as Attorney General in Minnesota despite domestic abuse were a disgrace to the American democracy.

Republican candidate Martha McSally narrowly defeated Democrat candidate Kyrsten Sinema for the vacant seat in Arizona after the departure of Jeff Flake. The latter was responsible for the delay of the nomination of Kavanaugh when he asked for the testimony of Christine Ford. Flake sided with his fellow Democrats when he decided that Ford was not a liar. Since then Kavanaugh accusers have admitted to fabricating rape story in order to derail his nomination.

Regarding Sinema, a lesbian and former social worker, she derided conservative folks as Neanderthals. When a reporter asked her in 2003 how she would react if he joined the Talibans, she said, “Fine, I don’t care if you want to do that; go ahead.” Joining Talibans or other terrorist organizations is not fine at all! It is an act of treason. The U.S. Code states: “Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.” Despite her sinister record, Sinema was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Arizona’s 9th district until she aspired to become U.S. Senator.

If Democrats have regained control of the lower house, their prestige does not emerge greater from an acrimonious race. Somali-born Ilhan Omar has won the 5th district seat in Minnesota. She succeeds Keith Ellison. She is the first Muslim woman elected to Congress. After the massacre committed at the Pittsburgh synagogue where eleven people were killed by a white man whose hate rant on social media included the President, mainstream media blamed Donald Trump. The accusation was as much frivolous as the one against Judge Kavanaugh, a devout catholic boy who was a virgin until his majority. Never a president has been so close to Israel. Unlike his predecessors, he has recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and transferred the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. After her marriage to a Jewish man, his daughter Ivanka converted to Judaism.

Regarding the candidacy of Ilhan Omar, the journalist Vanesse Friedman from the New York Times wrote on October 8th: “The Congressional uniform is about to change. And that’s a good thing of declaring independence from the pantsuit, pearls, and other clichés of political dress.” The infatuate journalist applauded the striking diversity of race, gender, and religion that Omar would bring to the lower house. (1) Is the Islamic woman’s garment really a victory for women? Do women have an equal status as men in the Islamic word? The nutty journalist ignored Omar’s threatening tweets against Israel. (2)

With the blessing of mainstream media, an Islamic woman will seat at the House of Representatives. Sinema, Menendez, Ellison, and Omar demonstrate that the Democratic Party is no more respectable for moderate electors. They will remember it before casting their ballots in 2020.
